Kid's Sticks Make a Great Sound

Keeping the Rhythm With Boomwhackers

I wasn't sure what to think when I saw a class full of kids with colourful sticks on stage. But once they started to play I was pleasantly surprised.

It was at a school Christmas concert that I first heard a group playing boomwhackers. As the kids lined up with different coloured tubes I had a vision of a cacophony of sounds. What I heard though, was a pleasant surprise. The boomwhacker "orchestra" played wonderful rhythmic sounds, which combined together to make harmonious music. I left the concert wanting to hear more, and wondering where I could get some boomwhackers of my own.
